Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive – Marrakech

Arrive at Marrakech airport, upon arrival, our team will pick you up and drive to your riad/hotel. After checking in to your riad, you have the opportunity to explore the Square and enjoy the entertainment of the magicians, story tellers, henna makers and fortune tellers. You have the option to eat here. Overnight at Riad/hotel. Bed and Breakfast. BB

Day 2: Marrakech- Tizi Ntast pass -Taroudant

After breakfast in your riad, travel to Taroudant via the fascinating pass of Tizi Ntest. Today you will travel along the magnificiant Moulay Brahim Gorges and enjoy the fascinating landscape and the Berber villages along the valleys. After couple of hours drive, get to Ijoukak village, a remarkable Berber village, with a storng berber culture, in the high Atlas Mountains. Immediately after that village, you will get to the Tin Mal Mosque, an 12th century mosque, build by the Almohad dynasty. it is the foundation of this family and now a UNISCO heritage site. You will get to Taroudant on the afternoon and check in to your riad. Overnight at riad/hotel. Dinner Bed and Breakfast. DB.

Day 3: Exploring Taroudant

After breakfast in your riad, you will start exploring Taroudant” the little Marrakech”. Unlike many old cities in Morocco, Taroudant has a berber and an Arab souk, each of them is known for what the group was producing, nowadays, not much difference. Here, you will also see the ramparts and walk within the small alleys in the Medina. Taroudant is always referred to as “The little Marrakech” because its walls look just the walls of Marrakech and has the influence of the Saadian dynasty, which built both walls of either city during the 16th century. Day 4: Taroudant – Taliouine – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazat

After your breakfast, we will depart for Ouarzazat via the city of Taliouine and Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
You will get to Ait Ben Haddou village, where stands the famous kasabah , built by the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Ethami, late 19th century. The Kasbah is recognised as a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, now a house of many Glaoui family members. Lunch by the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and continue to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”, where you have the option to visit and see many props used in movies you may already have seen such as Gladiator, and Alexander the Great.
Overnight accommodation will be in a riad/hotel in Ouarzazat. Dinner bed and breakfast. DB.

Day 5: Ouarzazat – Skoura – Dades Valley

After breakfast in the hotel, we will leave to explore the fascinating Dades and Rose Valleys. Our first stop will be at Skoura to walk within the Birds Valley and visit the beautiful and well-preserved Kasbah of Ameridil. Then we’ll continue to the famous village of Kalaa M’gouna, famous for its roses and rose products. A rose festival is held here every May, when the roses are harvested. Since this is the road of the thousands Kasbahs you’ll have plenty of opportunities to take some beautiful pictures. Our journey continues to the Dades Gorge where you enjoy seeing the amazing Rock formation called “the monkey Toes” and the standing Kasbah of Kasbah Ait yul. After that we will drive to the hotel/riad. Dinner bed and breakfast. DB.

Day 6: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast in the riad/hotel, you leave to Merzouga via the Todra Gorge and Rissani. After the town of Tinghir , you get to the Todra Gorge, the narrowest and the highest in the region. Watch the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. Lunch in a restaurant under 200m high red cliff of the gorge. Hundreds of rock climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport here. Continue your trip to Erfoud and Rissani then through the open black desert to the village Merzouga where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check in to your riad. Riad /hotel. Bed Dinner and Breakfast. DB.

Day 7: Merzouga area and the Camel trek

After breakfast in your hotel, you will start an explorative journey of the area. You’ll visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. You may also visit the nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. On the afternoon you will mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the sand sea of Merzouga. Dinner in front of the tent where you will spend the night (the luxury camp). DB.

Day 8: Merzouga Risani Erfoud Errachidia Imilchil

Early in the morning, your camelman will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. Afterwards you will camel trek back to your riad in Merzouga. Enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After a luxurious breakfast in the riad, we’ll travel to Imilchil via the city of Erfoud and Errachidia. Your first stop will be in Risani, the foundation of the Alaouit Dynasty, the current ruling family in Morocco. Risani is an authentic city with much conservation, men hooded and veiled women. Your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock. get to Imilchil at the end of the afternoon. Check in to you hotel. Auberge /hotel. Dinner Bed and breakfast. DB.

Day 9: Exploring Imilchil area

After breakfast in your hotel, you will start an explorative journey of the area. You will start with the 4wd and then, if you prefer, walking for about 2hours until you get to the lake Isli-tislit another beautiful spot in this area. After a pic-nic lunch by the lake you will drive back to the village of Imilchil, an authentic Berber village with a strong culture. Here you will visit a Berber family and learn about the Berber hospitality.

Day 10: Imichil – Khenifra – Azrou – Ifran – Fes

After breakfast in your hotel leave to Fes via Khenifra and Azrou. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may well sight Barbarian apes. you will also experience the real Berber culture and enjoy the beauty of the Moroccoan landscape. On to Ifran “the French village”or” the Swizerland of Morocco” where you will have a small stop to enjoy the beauty of this small village. On to Fes, overnight accommodation at hotel/riad. BB

Day 11: Exploring Fes

Most of the day will be spent visiting the medina (the old city) and its alleys. We will make sure you visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous tanneries and the Quaraouine mosque. Your visit also includes the Jewish headquarter and the royal palace gate. After lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant in the Medina, you’ll visit the Merinid tombs and experience a wonderful panoramic view of the city. On the afternoon you will have a short walk in the new city before you go back to your riad. Overnight accommodation will be at riad/hotel. BB.

Day 12: Fes -Volubilis- Meknes -Casablanca

After breakfast in your hotel/riad, you will travel to Casablanca via Volubilis and the sacred village of Moulay Idriss. You will start your travelling along the foothills of the Rif Mountains before you get to the fascinating Roman site, Volubilis. Here you will have some time to explore and see some of the beautiful Mosaics dating to the 1rst century BC. After that ,you will have a panoramic view over the sacred village of Mulay Idriss, build by Idriss Irst on 8th century. On to Meknes, the Ismaili Capital of Morocco, known as the “walled city of Morocco”, here you will see the walls build by the king Mulay Ismail on the 18th century, the famous gate Bab Mansour and visit the Mausoleum. Your journey continues via the highway to Casablanca. Overnight at Hotel /riad. BB.

Day 13: Casablanca – Essaouira

After breakfast at the hotel, you will experience the cornich sea-side and then start travelling to Essaouira via the highway. This area is famous for the Argan; here you will see herds of goats climbing the Argan trees looking for better food they can’t find on the ground. few kilometres before Essaouira, you will have the opportunity to visit one of the women Cooperatives of Argan, here they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medical properties.

Day 14: Exploring Essaouira

After breakfast in your riad, you will start exploring Essaouira. You’ll visit the Skala fortress and see the Thuya wood carved by the artisans; walk through the alleys of the medina and view hundreds of handicrafts. Our visit includes the Mellah – the Jewish headquarter, and the beach. The “City of the wind” has strong winds that attracts surfers from all over the world.
Today, you will have the opportunity to fish at the remote area of Sidi Kaouki.
Essaouira knew many civilisations – including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture – however, it remains a small village of much history. Because of its size and its characteristic blue doors and washed walls, it is also regarded as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantic”. There’s an abundant harbour here too, so you can enjoy a delicious sea-food for lunch. Overnight at Riad /hotel. BB.

Day 15: Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast in your riad, start travelling to Marrakech. In case you have not see the Argan oil processing, we’ll stop to visit the women’s co-operative of Argan oil. Here they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medical properties. Your journey will continue to Marrakech via Chichaoua. Get to Marrakech at the beginning of the afternoon. Just before checking in to your riad, you will visit the Majotrelle gardens and then walk within the Jemmaa El Fna square, that is always entertained with story tellers, snake charmers, food sellers and henna makers. Overnight Riad. BB

Day 16: Exploring Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel/riad, you can start exploring Marrakech ” the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. On the next day, you will have the opportunity to experience the Moroccan Hammam. or have day trips to the high Atlas Mountains and Ouzoud waterfalls. Overnight Riad /hotel. BB
