Day 1: Arrival at Saïss Airport, Fez

Upon arrival at Saïss Airport in Fez, you will be welcomed to one of Morocco’s most ancient and culturally rich cities. After meeting your driver or guide, transfer to your accommodation and take some time to relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may stroll through the old medina, where narrow alleyways, bustling souks, and traditional architecture create a unique atmosphere. The evening is free for you to rest and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant or riad.

Day 2: Visit Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Boulaajoul

After breakfast, begin your day exploring Fez, Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual capital. Visit the historic medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover the Al Quaraouiyine University, one of the oldest in the world, along with tanneries and artisan workshops. Later, depart Fez and drive toward Ifrane, a charming mountain town known for its European-style architecture and clean streets—often called “the Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue to the Cedar Forest near Azrou, where you can see the famous Barbary macaque monkeys and enjoy a peaceful walk among towering cedar trees. In the afternoon, continue your journey to Boulaajoul, a quiet mountain area where you’ll spend the night surrounded by tranquil natural scenery.

Day 3: Boulaajoul – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Today’s route takes you through the heart of Morocco’s Middle Atlas region. After breakfast, head toward Midelt, a small town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, known for its apple orchards and mineral-rich surroundings. From there, continue driving through the dramatic landscapes of the Ziz Valley, where palm groves and kasbahs line the riverbanks. As you approach the edge of the Sahara, the scenery gradually transforms into rolling sand dunes. Upon arrival in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes, you’ll trade your vehicle for camels and ride across the golden sands to your desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable night under a sky full of stars.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a breathtaking moment you won’t forget. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and begin your journey toward the Todra Gorges. This natural wonder features towering limestone cliffs carved by the Todra River, offering a spectacular setting for a walk or photos. Continue your drive to the Dades Valley, known for its winding roads, lush oases, and striking rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers.” Arrive at your accommodation in the evening and enjoy dinner overlooking the valley.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, travel along the famous “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through small Berber villages and green valleys. Stop in Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa,” due to its film studios and historical sites. Continue to the magnificent Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic ksars (fortified villages), featured in numerous films and series.
