Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley
Depart early from Marrakech and begin your adventure across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of valleys, Berber villages, and terraced fields. Your first major stop is the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages, famous for its traditional architecture and movie appearances. After exploring its narrow alleys and ancient structures, continue through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” The journey proceeds through the Valley of Roses and into the beautiful Dades Valley, where you’ll dine and spend the night surrounded by dramatic rock formations and tranquil landscapes.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, continue along the road of a thousand kasbahs to reach the stunning Todra Gorges, a breathtaking canyon with towering limestone cliffs shaped by the Todra River. Take time to explore and enjoy a short walk through the gorge before heading to Erfoud and then to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, your camel caravan awaits to take you across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, admire the ever-changing colors of the desert before arriving at your Berber camp. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, traditional music around the campfire, and an unforgettable night under the star-filled desert sky.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Draa Valley – Agdz – Ouarzazate
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes before riding your camel or taking a 4×4 back to Merzouga village. After breakfast, set out toward Ouarzazate through the magnificent Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s longest valleys, lined with ancient kasbahs and lush palm groves. Stop in Agdz, a charming town at the edge of the desert, to enjoy the peaceful scenery and traditional Berber atmosphere. Continue your journey through beautiful desert landscapes and mountain passes until you reach Ouarzazate, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hotel or riad.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, take time to visit the Taourirt Kasbah or the famous film studios of Ouarzazate before beginning your return trip to Marrakech. The scenic drive over the High Atlas Mountains offers panoramic views and opportunities to stop for photos and local crafts. Pass through Berber villages and winding mountain roads before descending into the plains that lead back to the vibrant city of Marrakech. Arrive in the late afternoon, marking the end of a memorable four-day journey through Morocco’s mountains, valleys, and the golden sands of the Sahara Desert.
