Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley
Your journey begins early in the morning as you depart from Marrakech, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking scenery of winding roads, Berber villages clinging to the hillsides, and panoramic views of the valleys below. The first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a famous fortified village known for its ancient kasbahs and as a filming location for many Hollywood movies. After exploring this remarkable site, the trip continues through Ouarzazate — often called the “Gateway to the Desert” — before heading towards the beautiful Dades Valley. You’ll pass through the Valley of Roses and other picturesque Berber villages before reaching your accommodation in the Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by stunning rock formations and serene landscapes.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, you’ll continue your adventure through the dramatic landscapes of southern Morocco. The journey takes you along the scenic road to the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon carved by the Todra River, where the towering cliffs rise dramatically on either side. Here, you’ll have time to walk along the gorge and enjoy the cool atmosphere before continuing towards the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits. As you ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, you’ll experience the breathtaking beauty of the desert at sunset. Upon reaching your desert camp, you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under a star-filled sky, accompanied by Berber music and drumming around the campfire. Overnight will be spent in a comfortable desert tent.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the desert dunes before returning to Merzouga on camelback or by 4×4. After breakfast, the journey continues through the vast Draa Valley, known for its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs that line the river. You’ll travel past traditional Berber villages and enjoy scenic views as you make your way back towards Ouarzazate. After a brief stop for lunch or sightseeing, you’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains once more, returning to Marrakech in the evening. Your unforgettable desert adventure ends with drop-off at your accommodation, leaving you with lasting memories of Morocco’s diverse landscapes and rich culture.
